Getting Prepared for your Green School New Zealand learning journey is a process that requires unlearning and relearning in an exciting cycle alongside our children and our community. It also requires that we get dirty as often as possible!
The aim of this course is to introduce the story of Green School: why we were founded and have come to Taranaki, what we believe in, and how we learn. We have created this course to support new teachers, parents and staff to put the Green School New Zealand Way at the center of teaching and learning by unpacking the pedagogy and fundamental design principles of our Green School curriculum.
Some of the features you have to look forward to include:
- A Community: Meet your new community! You will be taking the course with the other new members of our community.
- Discussion/Comment Board: A platform that invites an exchange of ideas and build relationships...make each other stronger! These are your new colleagues and friends! Comments are meant to be limited to 2-4 sentences in length, in order to keep dialogue flowing.
- Resources: Dig deeper into this content with our resources and suggested readings.
We ask that you commit to completing this course by the end of our first month of school.
